Recently I moved my entire poker roll on Party Poker; this was a big decision for me as I must sacrifice rakeback purely in exchange for the “better” games. So far things have not gone so good here; however I have been running pretty horrible – miles under EV at the minute. I am still confident that I will turn a good profit on the site; some of the 50NL games are incredibly soft at peak Euro hours.

One of the reasons for this post is that I am curious where all of the guys on the forums find their Party bonus code? There seems to be some sort of reload bonus on Party Poker each month, but you only have like 24 hours to get in there type thing. I find this a weird way of doing things as I missed the last one, how are you supposed to know where to find a code if you’re not looking every single day? Would be cool if they could just send you an email, but whatever, rant over!

I am a huge fan of Party Poker’s software and general layout, it is super user friendly. This should in theory encourage fish to play there; as they can lose money while still enjoying the interface emoticons etc. The amount of TV advertising that the company does is also great for the games, I think most people have heard of Party Poker even if they don’t play. For example I recently re-watched an early season of high stakes poker, and some of the Party adverts that they had during the breaks were actually really funny and I imagine memorable.

My final point about Party Poker is that I want to get used to it before players from the USA are allowed back into the picture. I know it sounds like I am planning ages in advance, but it is hard to think of a room which will benefit more from this than Party. The general consensus is that Poker Stars will struggle to acquire one due to their abuse of the law in the past, so the next biggest room is obviously Party Poker. One can only hope I don’t run like dog crap there forever!
